KOKÚMỌ is looking for dedicated people who are serious about providing quality educational content, products and service to our children.

Researchers

Responsible for researching primary source and other reference materials.  Responsible for writing original content based on research and providing reference materials to support writing.  Material must not be plagiarized.  Must not rely on Internet sources, such as Wikipedia and other similar reference websites, for resource material.  Must be able to write succinctly.  Must use a specified writing style with consistency.  

Must be able to work self-directed from a satellite office or from home.  Must deliver materials as specified in a timely fashion. 

 Must have knowledge of African/African American history or African/African American studies.

Graphic Designers

Responsible for providing graphics for educational lessons using Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator and inDesign.  Responsible for layout of print materials.  Must adhere to the established KOKÚMỌ Brand Guidelines on all created materials.  Must be able to collaborate on the design of lesson activities including, but not limited to: cut-out design for games, 3-D paper and other media, and other science activities. 

Must be able to work self-directed from a satellite office or from home.  Must deliver materials as specified in a timely fashion.  Must have knowledge of African/African American history or African/African American studies.

Educational Specialists

Responsible for planning, writing and evaluating original, educational content.  Must be able to write content for various learning styles, including tactile, visual, auditory, and kinesthetic.  Must be able to work self-directed from a satellite office or from home.  Must deliver materials as specified in a timely fashion. 

Must have a college degree from a recognized institution of higher learning.  Must have experience teaching in a primary or secondary school setting.  Must have knowledge of African/African American history or African/African American studies.

Administrative Support Specialists

Must be able to support executive, educational and customer service functions, such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, sending emails, and maintaining customer and vendor databases.  

Must be able to coordinate with vendors on shipping and other fulfillment support functions.  Must be able to work self-directed from a satellite office or from home.

Complete the Vendor Application form if you provide services and/or products that may be of interest to KOKÚMỌ.  The services and products may include, but are not limited to:  

Accounting, Tax services, Crafts and Maker items, Digital Media, Photography, Video, Educational materials, Events, Graphic Design services, Handmade goods, Information Technology, Web Design, Computer Support, Legal services, Marketing, Communications, Print services, and Temporary employment.
